My dad loves that instant stuff in the package so this would be a nice substitute. I just stumbled on your blog and will have some catching up to do. Love it.

Thanks mini-mommy!

If you come up with anything new, please let me know!

I'm always open to new ideas!

We were thinking of trying a 'hot chocolate' batch of oats next!

Anything chocolate sounds good to me!!!!

Oooh, thanks for this! I prefer to make the old-fashioned oatmeal but my husband grew up on instant and would rather have it. I'd love to be able to make a mix for him rather than buy the boxed stuff. I'm going to give it a try! :)

Can you explain what a "dash" is in a measurement?

Susan,
Just a pinch, shake, OR 'to taste'.
