Thinking about throwing out some old adult clothes...wait!

With just a little sewing and cutting, come of those can be re-made into children's clothes!

On a couple of occasions now, I have ripped a couple of skirts at the lower end. But -- with just a straight cut across and a hem stitch around the bottom, my daughter was able to wear them!

Got old t-shirts? Kid love to sleep in them! If they are wayyyy too big, a stitch up the sides, to the armpit will draw them right up to a better size, at least enough to sleep in. Or cut the girly colors off and sew a 'skirt' of plaid fabric around the bottom for a really cute dress!

Old pants frayed at the bottom? Cut them babies off and stitch a little hem around them--make them kids pants or shorts!

Old dress? Cut off, stitch a hem. you could even run elastic through long sleeves or the waist for a more fitted look.

Where there's a will to save-- there's a way!
And if you can only sew a straight line--you can save!
