Pumpkin Seeds...

I sure hope we get more of these soon! Fixed this way my kids will gobble them up!

Rinse pumpkin seeds well. Soak in salt water at 1/3 cup salt to 2 cups of water, overnight.

Drain but don't rinse.

Bake at 350 until dried and just barely starting to brown.

I don't get to store them- they eat them right away!

Okay, maybe you can answer this...do you eat the shells or do you shell them? Pumpkin seeds confound me. : )

Beth,

I'm glad you asked because I used to struggle with this too!

Seeds/shells I've toasted in the past and even from the store- were NOT chewable!

BUT- done this way, they are! They are crisp, like a cracker!!!

My kids would NEVER eat them before, but like this- they gobble them up...shell and all!
