Hot Spiced Cranberry Syrup...

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in small saucepan.
Add 2 cups of cranberries. (I used frozen.)
Add one cinnamon stick (approx. 2 1/2 inches),
1/8 t allspice,
and 1/2t cloves. (I used whole but ground would be better.)

Simmer for 25 minutes. Add 2 cups white sugar. Simmer 2 to 5 minutes, making sure sugar dissolves well.

Serve hot over bread, cake, plain ice cream, etc.
Chill overnight and it makes a nice jelly!
