This is the kind of casserole that men who hate casseroles will love! With meat and potatoes in one dish- you can't go wrong!
This was such a winner at my house, and easy, that I'm going to be trying several other combinations with it soon. Love a one dish meal that can be served with a salad!
Grease 9X13.
Pat out 2 lbs of ground beef in the bottom.
Sprinkle with 1 T dried onions.
Top with 3 cups shredded potatoes. (About 6 medium.)
In small bowl mix;
1 cup sour cream, 1 cup shredded cheddar, and 1 can cream of mushroom soup.
Spread over potatoes. Sprinkle handful of shredded cheddar over the top. Bake
at 400 for 40 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing.

Yikes, that sounds absolutely sinful. I am planning my "attack" on making that less fatty so I can work it into my menu plan soon.
:)
Ah - good idea. Lean meat and lowfat dairy and probably half the fat! If you do it, I'd love to know how it turns out. :-)
do you put cooked or uncooked ground meat on the bottom?
Uncooked Gabriella! And I think I like to use leaner meat better- so there's not as much grease :)
