1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t butter flavoring
1 cup wheat flour
1 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 cups chopped figs
Cream sugar and butter. Beat in eggs, vanilla, and butter flavoring. Mix in salt and baking powder, figs, then
whole wheat flour. Spread in sprayed 9x13. Bake at 350 for approx. 28 minutes. Allow to cool 20 minutes before cutting. They will be a little gooey, but you won't mind! ;-)

Do your children like these? I am going to try them out on my family and see what they think I just hate to waste the food if they didn't like them. What does your family think about them?

Well- do your children like figs?

My kids do not like figs unless they're "Fig Newtons" ...and not all like them.
BUT- they love the "bar" of these, but they said I could put something else besides figs in them next time :-) (that is, the ones who don't care for figs).
HOWEVER, they all ate them! The whole pan is gone! :-)

uhm- I failed to mention how many that I personally ate- gulp!
