Oatmeal Scotchies


1 stick of softened margarine
2/3 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 t vanilla
1 egg
(Blend these 5)
In separate bowl, mix;
1 cup flour
2 cups quick oats
1 t soda
3/4 t salt
Add mixtures and blend until all ingredients are moistened.
Then add 1/2 cup of Butterscotch chips.
Drop by teaspoons onto baking sheet.
Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool at least 1 minute before removing from baking sheet.
Makes 3 dozen.
*Tip: My oven does better with cookies when I place a piece of foil on the lower rack.
