Remember the recipe for "Beef Steaks in Gravy", well this is the yummy stew from the leftovers!
(I had about 3 cups of the leftovers.)
4 medium potatoes sliced
3 carrots, sliced
1 large onion sliced
4 stalks of celery, sliced with tops
Cover with water, bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat, and continue to simmer about 15 minutes.
In a fry pan, brown 1 pound of ground beef, drain. Add 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce or Teriyaki sauce. Add to vegetables. (Add any other seasonings of choice. I added about 1/2 t rosemary.)
(May add any leftover veggies from freezer bucket if you keep one. I added about 1 1/2 cups of green beans mixed with corn.)
Add leftover "Beef steaks in gravy", heat through.
I served with cornbread muffins. Very meaty and tasty.
(*Total cost of this stew was approx. $2, not counting the leftovers, as they were figured into original recipe.)
