QUESTION FOR TAMMY'S KITCHEN TIPS TUESDAYS

I HAVE 2 LADIES:
1) HOW CAN I BETTER ENSURE THAT MY ANGEL FOOD CAKES WILL COME OUT OF MY BUNDT PAN? (They always seem to stick a little bit.)
2)ARE FRIENDSHIP BATTERS HEALTHY? IS THERE SOMETHING 'GOOD FOR YOU' IN THE PROCESS OF KEEPING AND FEEDING,ETC?
FOR MORE KITCHEN TIPS PLEASE VISIT: http://www.tammysrecipes.com/
TAMMY: Honey is a natural preservative that could help some of your dressings too! Have you tried evaporated milk in place of regular milk? I wondered if it would last longer. Buttermilk dressings last longer than milk dressings too. :-)

With the angel food cake...are you greasing the pan? If so then instead of waiting for the cake to cool totally in the pan I would work it out of the pan right out of the oven or don't let 2 minutes go by before you do. I have a coffee cake that I do in a bundt pan and it seems to stick more the longer it is in the pan.

as for Friendship batter...I am really not sure how healthy they are but they sure are good!! :)

On the angel food cake. I always turn mine upside down like they suggest and then just gently run a knife around the edge.

As for teh friendship batter...oh, there's nothing healthy in those. You add so much sugar throughout the time you have it..I'm not sure if you could add wheat flour. But there's so much sugar you couldn't really replace it unless you just went with organic sugar...at least I think..we love the stuff, so if someone gives you a healthy alternative let me know.

Thanks ladies!

I'll keep working with them.

One place I read last night said to sit them over an ice tray?!?!?

Thanks for the sugar reminder! I had not given enough thought to the amount of sugar in those!

Again, thank you both!

Hm, I don't know about the angel food cake but feeding the yeast for 10 days isn't any less healthy than feeding the yeast with sugar when making bread. The only thing is there's more of it. The cup of oil added to the recipe though, now I think that's unhealthy! :)

I have substituted whole wheat flour and oatmeal (for the pudding) and it has still turned out great!

Thanks Ruizbe82,

I have been using wheat and oats but still thought that I needed to use the pudding too. THANKS!!! That will cut out part of the sugar!

Thanks for the other input too! I thought they were about the same ...and I had used some applesauce and cut back the oil by half.:-)

Thanks so much for posting,all!
