The pictures do not do these justice! They are so good that you can't stop eating them!

2/3 c brown sugar
1/3 cup light butter
1/3 cup white corn syrup
2 1/2 cups quick oats
1/4 cup whole wheat flour (or all-purpose)
1/2 cup dried cranberries (or raisins or whatever you prefer)
1 egg
1 t vanilla
1) Combine: sugar, butter, corn syrup
Microwave for 2 minutes. Stir and microwave until the mixture comes to a boil and the sugar dissolves.
2)Stir in: oats, flour, cranberries
Beat egg and vanilla together, then add to oat mixture.
3) Spread in 9x13 pan that has been lined with foil if you prefer. Bake 20-25 minutes until edges are slightly golden.
Lift out and cut into squares.
