Bean and Cheese Pita Sandwiches

These are so easy, quick, and frugal.

The pita bread seen here is homemade, so it's just pennies but you can buy it at the store for $2 or so.

The inside is chili flavored pinto and red beans. You can buy them canned and pre-flavored or flavor your own home-cooked with a little chili powder. Top with some good cheese and there you go!

I've read that if you combine a bean/legume and a grain that it makes for a complete protein.

You could serve your whole family for less than $2 if you made it all from scratch.
