Bells and Whistles and Potty Trouble

What on earth am I talking about?

Well, first of all, this post is for MOMS ONLY!

Only we could get this problem.....

Do you have young children that still need Mom in the bathroom from time to time?

Are you also a busy Mom?

Ok, that's just about all of us here, right!

Well, it used to be common practice when I just had one or two, that I would simply wait by the door for an 'ok mom'.

Then, as more kiddos came along, it became a yell, as I would find myself busy when they uhmm- needed to go. So I would try to listen for an "I'm done" or "Ma, I need you".

Well, spending much time in the kitchen these days, with the roars of mixers, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, and half a dozen more people in the house- and an ever-barking poodle..... it has become hard to hear those 'shout-outs' for Mom.

Which has led me to 'bells or whistles'. I don't think I could hear a bell any better than the sweet voice of the child, so I'm opting on the whistle.

I'm curious as to what other Moms have done about this or if I am the only one that's so hard of hearing.

That is a cute idea. I don't have this problem yet because I cannot get my 3 year old potty trained. There is little time spent in the loo but if and when it does happen I may have to use this tactic...the times he has been in there I actually forgot about him....hummm and I wonder why he doesn't want to potty train.
