Kitchen Tip Tuesday......(keep)fresh guacamole

Tips on how to prevent guacamole from browning:
1) always add a couple drops of lime juice
2) press plastic wrap against it before storing
3) try to eat it within a few minutes of preparing it
4) IF all else fails, you can scrape off the top browned area and serve.
1-minute Guacamole
peel and mash one avocado
Mix in :
juice of half a lime
2 t hot-pepper sauce
1 T olive oil
1/4 t sea salt

Another tip, possibly the easiest tip of all: put the pit(s) back into the guacamole to prevent oxidation.

Yum, we love guacamole! Thank you for the tips on keeping it fresh! Brown guacamole does not look particularly appetizing. :D

This isn't about guacamole - but thank you so much for your comment on my blog. I think I will have to get some advice from you as far as the boys go. My son did the same thing about the ceiling fan. It wasn't exactly the same situation, but I am just waiting for the day that he will climb up to it somehow and hang from it. I loved it when you said, "Are you new here?". Hilarious! Anyway, thank you for your comment. It is reassuring.
