This recipe is so easy and frugal since you can use cheap steaks, and it can be tossed in the crockpot to cook while you are busy!
Toss in chopped onions and mushrooms. (I used 2 medium onions and an 8oz package of mushrooms.)Toss in the beef steaks.
Sprinkle with fresh ground black pepper and a few shakes or marjoram or basil (or both).

Turn up the heat and go have some fun while the crock-ey does her work!

This looks very good to me, but I can't get my children to eat onion and mushrooms. I have been looking through your breakfast recipes and finding lots of great stuff that my family would enjoy. I have been looking for a pancake recipe for using up leftover oatmeal. I found one here, thanks so much for sharing it! Have a blessed day.
Yum! Looks great! :)
Marnie,
Do you have a little food processor? (They have one for like $9 at Walmart.) I used to chop everything in there, almost into a puree, before adding it to dishes like this, just to 'hide it' from a couple of picky eaters. If they didn't 'feel' it, they didn't 'taste' it! :-)
My real-super-duper picky eater will now eat sliced onions on his hamburgers and sandwiches! Yippee!
Christy,
Happy Birthday!
yum, that looks really good. Never thought to make beef steaks in the crock before!
