Kitchen Tip...

Ever need flour in a hurry to sprinkle while you kneed or roll out dough?????
Me too!
So, I have a handy-dandy empty parmesan cheese shaker that I keep ready in my 'baking cabinet', right over the counter, and it's full of unbleached flour- ready to sprinkle and dust a counter at a moment's notice!

That is a very clever idea, I might just do that once our shaker is empty! Thanks for the great tip and thanks for visiting my blog :)

I like that idea. Not only because it would be convenient to have the flour nearby, but also to recycle the parmesean cheese bottle. I always hate to throw them away! Thanks for the idea.

That is a great idea, because often my hands are covered in dough when I need new flour, this way I can just sprinkle it...I'm going to do this. thanks.

Good idea! I already do this with baking soda for a quick clean up of stains on pots and pans and kitchen counters. Thanks for sharing!

I, like Cara, do this for baking soda which I keep one in bathroom and another in kitchen for cleaning purposes. I never thought about the flour idea.... How very silly of me... This is definitely a tip I can use. Thanks for sharing. Would you mind if I add this to my Virtous Women Discussion, of course crediting your site with this, as I have an ongoing discussion about quick tips that can simplify our lives? Thanks, Deena

Fab idea! Thanks for sharing. I, unfortunately - find myself dipping into the bag or jar (depending where we are) and fooling myself that I am not contaminating the whole lot. I am super careful usually in the kitchen, but when just a bit of flour is needed...
