8 Grain Sweet Muffins

(*served here with my cheesy tuna noodles and tomato salad)

I buy Bob's Red Mill cereal/grains from time to time just for something different! These are like coarse ground cornmeal muffins, except they are sweet!
I make these with the 8-grain mix!

1 cup of 8-grain cereal
1 cup plain flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1 egg
2 T melted butter
3/4 cup cane sugar
approx. 3/4 cup buttermilk (I didn't measure, but you need enough to make a batter that's barely pourable!)
Bake at 425 12 to 18 minutes until lightly browned!
My kids loved them with Joy's Sour Cherry Jam!!

Ahhhh how nice of you to link to me! I am going to try to go all out for Valentines day for my kiddies and dh here..we are going to decorate the table..something I never seem to have time to do...
BUT you have inspired me and yes it is worth every effort I need to remember that...you made me cry..because I can be such a stickler for a clean house that I forget about the memories my children are making and the memories they are not..thanks for the reminder!

You've hit the nail on the head dear Joy!

There memories of fun and happy times are far above "no dust"!! :-)
And even dreaded clutter!

My heart BREAKS at the thoughts of my house one day being 'empty'...I know that I will wish for all the clutter and toys back!!! So today...I'll look over it...and we will have fun!
