Gummy Candy...

My kids had a big surprise after supper tonight! Candy! Halloween candy!

Several weeks ago, I found some candy molds at the Goodwill and I've had them tucked away, hiding.
(Brandy helped me find a recipe for the Gummies on the www!)
Its super easy!

1- 3 oz- box of flavored gelatin
7 envelopes plain gelatin
1/2 cup water
Mix together in a pot and heat slowly until melted.
Spoon into molds and toss in the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes.
Easy peasy!

The pretzel sticks were a hidden bonus since they were still hiding in the freezer
at suppertime.
Boy were my kiddies excited when I brought them out!
(Just melted chocolate poured into molds with a pretzel stick in the middle.)
***********
Homemade Halloween Candy is certainly a Finer Thing!
And a great thing for Foodie Friday and Frugal Fridays!

Wow, how easy! My kids love gummy candy, though I hate them eating it...and I love homemade! :) How much does the recipe yield? It seems like a lot.

OHHH< I wanna try the gummies... I tried Gum Drops once, but they were nasty....
I have Organic jello now... so no dyes, gotta try this out!

Cindy,
I had 3 trays of gummy candy. I'm guessing about 20 big pieces.

Some places post this recipe to make gummy worms...Spread the mixture in a tray, allow to set, and cut in strips for worms.

Organic jello? Neat!
I've not seen org. jello, but I was happy to make this without HFCS! :-)
