I saw these tips at Get Rich Slowly, for staying within the budget.
Here's a list of 50 ideas for keeping it frugal at Being Frugal.
I like this list of frugal activities during the holidays at FrugalNing.
I've mentioned The Dollar Stretcher to you before, but here's a link to some neat holiday ideas.
Here's another list of 50 at BibleMoneyMatters.
All Things Frugal has some neat links here.
I love the tree decorating ideas at Happy Frugal Christmas. She used candy that was wrapped in shiny paper, tied to the tree by silver curling ribbons. Very cute idea!
There's so many wonderful ideas out there!
But of course, my favorite frugal tips for Christmas are Brandy's!

No, I didn't see it- THANKS!
We are still recovering financially from our move here to Wyoming and setting up our house. One thing that I am doing this year to help with the Christmas budget is utilizing our resale shops. We have an upscale baby store that takes outgrown clothes, shoes and toys and either pays cash or credit. I intend to trade outgrown stuff for Christopher's present.
We also have a used book store that we can take books and use half of that credit toward another book (if the book is marked $6 the cost is $3 in cash and $3 in trade). I plan to utilize that also for all of the children and maybe Joe too (he loves history books). I kind of like the challenge of a frugal Christmas.
Milli,
You sound like me- I like a challenge! I find it fun some how....
Years ago,
when my oldest children were small, I made them all long old timey night shirts (like grandpa wears on the Walton's), I also bought a pre-printed fabric that was a Christmas book. I had collected new backpacks, games, books, etc from yard sales in the fall and that was a big part of their Christmas. I will always remember it as my favorite Christmas- it was simple- and it kept the stress out- and the focus right!
Hi Donna. I wanted to pop in and say Merry Christmas. I am going off line til after the New Year. My kids are having to wave stuff in front of the computer to get my attention!
Have a blessed time with your family and I look forward to "seeing" you in January. Great blog and I appreciate you!
Arden- I'll miss you bunches, but I do understand!
I pray your Christmas is full of blessings for you and your family.
I appreciate you too- very much!
