Eggnog Pudding...

I'm so ready for winter and fall that I'm trying to force it with a sweet treat! Nothing like the flavor of eggnog to make you feel cozy!
I worked from Tammy's Vanilla Pudding recipe to spin this into Eggnog Pudding.

1 1/4 cup sugar
6 T cornstarch
dash of salt
6 cups whole milk
5 large eggs
1/2 T ground nutmeg
1/2 t rum flavoring
6 T butter
Whisk sugar, cornstarch, and salt together in large pot. Then add nutmeg, breaking up any lumps. Add milk, beat in eggs well. Heat and gradually bring to a boil, while continuing to whisk. Boil one minute. Remove from heat. Add butter and rum flavoring. Chill.
