Simple Glazed Mocha Cake


1/2 cup butter melted (but not hot)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup strong coffee (cooled)
2 cups plain flour
3 t baking powder
1/4 t salt

Mix butter and sugars. Beat in eggs, then coffee. Add salt and baking powder, then flour. Beat with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Spread in sprayed 9X13. Bake at 350 for approx. 20 minutes. (use toothpick center-check)

While still warm spread with glaze.

Easy Glaze:
3 T melted butter
2 T cocoa powder (I used dark)
1/2 cup strong coffee
1/4 t salt
3 cups powdered sugar

Beat well with electric mixer, making sure all lumps are gone. Poke cake all over with a toothpick. Pour glaze all over, spreading to run down the sides and into the poked holes. Allow to cool before serving.
