Finally! A homemade recipe for Biscotti!

Cream 1/4 cup butter
and 3/4 cup of sugar.

Then blend in 2 eggs and 1/2 t of almond extract.

Blend, in order: 1 t baking powder , 1t of baking soda, 1/2 cup cocoa, and 1 1/2 cups of plain flour.

Combine both mixtures along with 1/2 cup coarsely chopped almonds.

Roll dough into two logs and place on lightly buttered baking sheet. 
Mixture may be sticky, spray your hands if necessary in order to shape loaf-logs.

Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

Remove from oven and cool for 10 mins.

Slice diagonally and return to baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes on 325.
Turn the biscotti half-way through.

Allow to cool and store in airtight container.
May dip or drizzle with melted chocolate chips.

Wonderful with coffee or tea!

Great as a gift as well!
