COLLEGE TIPS:::Helpful shopping tips: Keep a grocery notebook. (If I can do it with 6 kids, so can you!) In your notebook, keep up with your most frequently purchased items and the prices that they usually are at the different stores that you visit. Ex. Hairspray= 2.85 @ Walmart, 2.99 @ Walgreens. (If the happens to be a sale, you will know what the real bargain is. Such as if Walmart runs it on sale for 2.50 but Walgreens has an in store coupon for $1 off.) I read on another site where a young lady started doing this because she didn't know how much she was paying for apples one week so she didn't know it it was really a sale. She said the store listed the apples for like $1.29 but upon research anther store sold them for .99 on sale and yet another store always had them for like .85. Reason enough? Yeppers!----------BTW, she used a little notebook type thing with index cards to keep up with 'normal' prices. Perhaps you can be creative and come up with something easier! (Let me know if you do!)
