Cracker Candy

These 'candy bars' are super sweet and super good!
This is another great recipe from Tammy's blog: http://tammysrecipes.com/easy_saltine_cracker_candy

Simple to make and simple ingredients:
1 sleeve of saltines
1 stick of butter or margarine
1 cup of packed brown sugar
3/4 of a bag of chocolate chips

Grease jelly roll pan (could use 9x13).
Line pan with crackers, salted side up.
Heat butter and brown sugar to a boil; boil 3 minutes.
Pour sugar/butter over the crackers and bake at 375 for 5 to 7 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
After 3 to 5 minutes, when chips have began to melt, spread them with knife like you would frosting. Cool and refrigerate for 5 minutes until set.

*Tammy's recipe calls for nuts sprinkled on top after spreading the chocolate chips.

UPDATE: I DID TRY THESE WITH GRAHAM CRACKERS AND THEY WERE REALLY GOOD TOO!

Can be topped with all sorts of things, including broken pretzels!
