GINGERBREAD CAKE

MY PICTURES AREN'T THE GREATEST BUT THIS CAKE IS WELL WORTH A TRY!

1 CUP WHEAT FLOUR
1 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2/3 CUP SUGAR
3 TEASPOONS BAKING SODA
1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
1 TEASPOON GINGER
1 TEASPOON ALLSPICE
1 1/2 CUPS UNSWEETENED APPLESAUCE
3/4 CUP MOLASSES
2 EGGS

MIX DRY INGREDIENTS. MIX WET INGREDIENTS AND ADD TO DRY MIX.

BAKE IN 9X13 AT 400 FOR 30 MINUTES.

FROSTING
1/2 STICK BUTTER
1/3 CUP SHORTENING
2 TABLESPOONS VANILLA
2 CUPS POWDERED SUGAR
-IF NECESSARY, 1 OR 2 TEASPOONS OF MILK.

CREAM THE FATS, ADD SUGAR AND VANILLA. MIX WELL UNTIL CREAMY.
