How do you like your salmon patties?

Dh only used cornmeal when he cooks them , but I like a mix of flour and cornmeal for a more crispy texture!

I have NEVER eaten salmon before. I want to try it, but haven't gotten the courage up yet.

Sandra,
You've gotta try salmon patties!
That's part of Southern culture isn't it? ;-)

I have never had cornmeal in salmon patties. I've used crackers, flour, bread and once I even used cooked rice (because that was what I had on hand). I'll have to try it with the corn meal.

We use flour and some meal as well. We love salmon patties but the kind with no bones, we also do this with just plain tuna
Yum

Ah, cornmeal is good- and Southern!

No bones?SHHHhhh- I crush them up and leave them in there! (little extra bone-building calcium;)
Never tried tuna, bet it is yum!

I made tuna patties last night and used the combo of the flour and corn meal. They did have a crispy texture which was very good.

Well now- I've never made them with tuna- I am going to have to try it your way some time! :-)
Thanks for letting me know! I love trying new things or old things new ways, don't you?

I do too! We have 'adventures in cooking' at my house on a regular basis. In fact, I'm looking over that recipe that you linked for the chicken devan on Brandy's site to figure out how I can adapt it to the ingredients I have on hand. I think I can do it!
