Chocolate Angel Food Cake...

1 1/2 cups egg whites*
1 t cream of tartar
1/4 t salt
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup unbleached flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
Whip egg whites until very stiff. Beat in cream of tartar, salt, and vanilla. Add sugar 1/2 cup at a time while whipping. Add flour slowly while whipping, scraping sides. Whip cocoa in last.
Spoon into sprayed bundt pan and bake at 375 for 35 minutes.
Drizzle with Hershey's! ;-) Of course that's optional!

* (use your yolks in a German Choc. Cake Frosting or whip with whole eggs for scrambled eggs the next morning)

Great post! We have angel food quite a bit since it is dairy and soy free (my son has allergies). A choco version sounds like a great change!

Also, love your page decor!

I linked to this on my weekly roundup - post is here. Even though I've already clicked through, I still wanted to lick the screen when I came back. Mmmm!
