1 box spiral pasta (I used a kind that is made from whole grain and flax.)
Cook according to box directions, to the lesser time.
Chop 1/4 cup of cherry, pear, or other tomatoes (yellow pears used here) or even drained, canned
1/3 or to taste of your favorite Italian Dressing (homemade or bottled) I use a homemade with flax oil
1 T chopped chives
1/4 cup chopped roasted peppers (bottled or roast your own)

Toss, chill, serve. This makes enough for a side for several meals at our house.
You can also add more veggies; shredded carrots, diced green peppers, chopped green onions, peas, diced zukes, summer squash, chopped cukes, etc. Can also be topped with Parmesan cheese.
A great frugal side when you're in a pinch or need a big side dish for guests or church picnics!

Pasta salad is one of the few foods that can be eaten as a side dish or as a main course. Countless recipes call for any number of ingredients to produce a variety of flavorful salads, each with its own special taste. Some recipes call for vinaigrette dressings, while others call for creamy mayonnaise or milk-based sauces. Most any type of pasta can be used in a salad, and nearly every vegetable can complement the other ingredients in the dish. Its diverse nature and all-around appeal makes pasta salad a great addition to any gathering or family meal at home.
