 Welcome to Menu Plan Monday!

My frugal tip of the week: Shopping once-a-month and keeping some food storage is going to allow me to do some special things this week. THURSDAY:
This is going to be an eventful day! The Lord willing (and providing) me and the children will pack up and drive down to see my oldest son to deliver some paperwork to him. If the Lord allows, I will get to make camp at his place (that's gonna be a hoot with all his siblings).
I plan on having a little fun at his place and taking:
Spritz Cookies
Cake
a couple of gallons of homemade chili or hamburger soup
(I will freeze leftovers for him and his roommates to eat later.)
several boxes of crackers
shredded cheese
and I might take the ice cream machine!
From my food storage to take for them later:
pasta
spaghetti sauce
A frozen homemade dish for them to freeze and heat later.
Cranberry-Almond Granola
canned tuna
canned chicken
teas
canned fruit
canned soups
almond butter
homemade Strawberry Jam
graham crackers
rolled oats
milk
eggs
maybe some freezer items IF possible

You've inspired me to get back menu planning and shopping the way I did years ago...it makes so much sense! Thanks for the reminder!

Michele,
I often wonder if I will stop when all of my kids are grown- but I don't think I could do it any other way now :) Thank you for posting!
Blessings!
