Last week I skipped menu planning and boy did I have a tough week because of the lack of a plan! So this week- I made sure I got myself in order, just in time for Menu Plan Monday!
SATURDAY:
-oatmeal
-beans, cornbread, fried potatoes, cole slaw, Rapunzel brownies (recipe from the bag)
-chili (from the leftover beans), Double Chocolate Cookies with walnuts
Snacks:chips and guacamole, dried apricots, almonds
SUNDAY:
-kids choice
-leftover chili with crackers, cookies
-biscuits and sausage gravy, Chocolate Cherry Muffins, Blueberry Smoothies
Snacks:chips and salsa, apricots, apple slices, cheese and rosemary crackers
MONDAY:
-oatmeal
-Red Beans with turkey polish sausage over brown rice, leftover muffins
- frugal steaks, potato wedges, green salad, leftover cookies
Snacks:celery sticks with cottage cheese dip, popcorn
TUESDAY:
-kids choice
-beef stew, whole wheat dinner rolls, cranberry slushies
-fried chicken quarters, slaw, pasta salad, oatmeal scotchies
Snacks:carrots and dip, popcorn
WEDNESDAY:
-oatmeal
-cranberry beans-n-bacon, cornbread, corn, swiss chard, relish
-oven-fried chicken legs, sauteed squash, broccoli spears, oatmeal scotchies
Snacks:banana chips, raisins, almonds, yogurt-poppy seed muffins
THURSDAY:
-kids choice
-leftover cranberry beans, cornbread, slaw, relish, Chocolate chip cookies
-pancakes, sausage, berry smoothies
Snacks:steamed sugar snap peas from the garden with dip, popcorn
FRIDAY:
-leftover pancakes
-monkey meat in flatbreads, Chocolate covered creme filled donuts
-Dutch's Holy Hamburgers with all the fixin's (this is what my kids call dh's burgers), donuts
Snacks: raisins, almonds, lettuce wedges with cream cheese
