Frugal tip of the week: Make your own jellies, jams, and syrups! You save and get more variety! Above is homemade beet syrup. My kids have ate 3 pints in the last week.
SATURDAY:
-oatmeal-Beef Stew (with greens from the garden)
-Cod Cakes, salad, speckled butter beans, frozen smoothie peach cups
snacks: buttered popcorn, Cocoa Molasses Spelt Muffins
SUNDAY:
-oatmeal and plum smoothies-leftover Beef Stew, leftover muffins
-Sausage gravy and biscuits, homemade beet syrup, fruit
snacks:frozen leftover plum smoothie pops, muffins
MONDAY:
-millet w/ butter and cane sugar-White beans, cornbread, mixed greens from the garden, fruit
-Parmesan Chicken Strips over noodles and Alfredo sauce, pops from the freezer
snacks:buttered popcorn, boiled eggs and mustard
TUESDAY:
-Coconut Brown Rice-White beans and cornbread, leftover rice from breakfast
-BBQ Baked Beans w/ Beef (from leftover white beans), potato wedges, fried okra, sliced cukes
snacks:Coconut Pumpkin Muffins, Coffee Shakes
WEDNESDAY:
-Scrambled eggs and mixed fruit smoothies -Taco Soup, Jalapeno Cornbread, Cinnamon Chips
-Frugal Steaks, boiled-buttered potatoes, beets
snacks:homemade chocolate cake, frozen leftover smoothie pops
THURSDAY:
-Bug Oats-hamburgers on homemade Buttermilk Buns
-Steaks! (we get our half cow today!), lima beans, buttered corn
snacks: toasted breakfast bread w/ homemade beet syrup, pickles
FRIDAY:
-Real Pumpkin-Pumpkin Pie w/ Homemade Oat Pie Crust-Beef-n-Liver Meatballs, brown rice, lima beans
-Homemade Taquitos, chili beans, brown rice
snacks: celery sticks, Vanilla Cupcakes
