Menu: February 25, 2012

 Welcome to Menu Plan Monday!

My frugal tip of the week:Save little dabs of meat through the week for quick weekend or lunch dishes later. Leftover pork loin will be diced this week for fried rice. Leftover ham will be saved for Ham Salad Spread.

SATURDAY:
-Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Waffles from the freezer
-picnic in the car: turkey and cheese on buns, home made pickles, bananas
-more 'camping' (under a blanket-tent and on pie pans) broiled dogs, oven fries, bananas and blueberries
snacks: Easy Spelt Cinnamon Rolls, berries
SUNDAY:
-leftover Oatmeal Wheat Pancakes from the freezer
-Taco Salads, Fried Bananas
-Pork Loin, romaine salad, brussel sprouts, Blueberry Cottage Pudding Cake
snacks: carrots and dip, popcorn
MONDAY:
-Cookie Dough Oatmeal Cakes
-Main Dish Macaroni and Cheese, steamed broccoli, romaine salad
-Baked Ham, leftover macaroni, green peas
snacks:Berry-Cherry Compote over Chocolate Buttermilk Cake, Crunchy Peanut Butter Balls
TUESDAY:
-Fried Eggs, toasted Breakfast Bread
-Pinto Beans with ham, fried cornbread
-leftover Beans, fried potatoes, creamed corn, pickled okra
snacks:toast with homemade Strawberry Jam, Stuffed Celery Sticks
WEDNESDAY:
-Peanut Butter Granola and milk
-Chili from leftover beans
-Tapatio Chicken Thighs, lima beans, steamed cauliflower with mock cheese sauce
snacks: Mexican Fruit Cake, Oh My Stars Cookie Bars
THURSDAY:
-Scrambled eggs and applesauce
-Easy Beef and Rosemary Mock-Bisquick Bake,
-Poor Man's Steak, romaine salad, Rustic Refrigerator Spelt Rolls, Homemade Jam
snacks:PB Granola and milk in a cup,Lemon-Glazed Berry Bundt Cake
FRIDAY:
-Chocolate-Carob Custard
-Tuna Salad on Chapatis, Fruit Salad
-Homemade Pizza Night!, Chocolate Pudding
snacks:frozen pudding pops, baby carrots, celery sticks

My kids' favorite is the Peanut Butter Granola- it's their 'cereal' of choice :-)

Sometimes I'll treat the hubby and son to fried potatoes. My mother would make her's with onions. The husband prefers them without.

We like them either way Rona. My dh will take them any which way but raw ;-)
