Question for you-

Do you have a master list for menu ideas?

How far in advance do you plan your meals and shop for ingredients?

Collins Family,

I usually shop once-a-month.
I usually do it one of two ways, or a mixture of both.

1- plan out meals for the entire month and shop accordingly
2-buy according to sales and plan once shopping is complete

It takes me about 2 days now (it used to take me more) to plan, check sales, cut coupons, etc.

Then about 2 days to do the shopping.

Now that I've been doing once-a-month shopping so long, I don't have to work with a specific menu. Some meals are 'regulars' but I also like to plan for new recipes too.

Here's a post from last May, listing what a month's shopping can look like:

Here's another post you might like about this too; it deals with some of the hows and whys...
