Menu Plan: April 21, 2012

Welcome to Menu Plan Monday
My frugal tip of the week: Use more spices and seasonings to change up your normal 'staples'. When you find combinations that your family really likes, use those on other dishes. For example, if your family loves Italian seasonings, use them on your chicken, in your ground beef, in your veggies, and even in your bread. You can take the same basic foods and make them 'new'!

-Vanilla Polenta
-Cheeseburger Macaroni, beet greens from the garden, lima beans
-Homemade Pimiento Cheese Spread on wraps, carrots, Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
-Masa Porridge (12 cents for 5 servings!!!)
- Cranberry Chicken Salad on Wheat Bread, Giant Peanut Butter Spelt Cookies
-Chipotle Tilapia, potato wedges, romaine salad
-Chocolate Oatmeal
-Mexi-Pasta Soup w/ kale from the garden, Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies
-Tapatio Chicken Thighs, potato wedges, chard from the garden
snacks:apples, popcorn
-Oatmeal Sundaes
-Mixed Beans, cornbread, fermented pickles, Blueberry Crisp
-Quesidilla Beef Bake, leftover beans, mapled carrots
snacks:Dark Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies, apples
-Vanilla-Cinnamon Quinoa Pudding
-Frittata w/ chopped greens from the garden,
-Easy Maple Dijon Chicken, peas and carrots, boiled-n-buttered potatoes w/parlsey
snacks:Kefir Berry Smoothies, graham crackers
-Buttermilk Biscuits, fried eggs, jelly
-Easy Beef and Rosemary Mock Bisquick Bake, romaine salad, purple hull peas
-Chicken Fajitas on Homemade Flatbread,
snacks:Extra Chunky Peanut Butter Cookies, almonds

Great tip and your menu looks wonderful! I defiantly need to change up some staples around here. I can't wait till my lettuces is ready to eat from the garden! Hopefully next week and then we can have fresh salads, we have been eating basics for some time now and they can get boring!
